Sue’s* story (BDVS Client)

A new life, free from violence….

Just under four months ago my life was turned upside down following some very unfortunate events.  My beautiful daughters and I were left shattered, scared and feeling very alone.  With the help of the police I was quickly connected with Staying Home Leaving Violence (SHLV).

I feel extremely satisfied with the support, appointments and communications that have been offered to me.  I found that the advice was always very informative, helpful and most importantly very honest.  Over the last 3 months with the help of this service, I have been able to start two diplomas and be linked to other services where we can now look for safe housing to move to.  My case worker walked me through all the court proceedings.

I’m very appreciative of all the above.
